As per an official statement released on Monday 23rd of July 2018, Google is all set to join other technology giants for the deployment of blockchain technology so that it can offer cloud service solutions along with fintech solutions to the customers.

BlockApps and Digital Asset are two of the firms that are focused on blockchain with whom Google is set to partner with. These two firms would be offering the latest distributed ledger technology solutions on Google’s Cloud Platform (GCP). This would actually allow the users to make use of the distributed ledger technology frameworks. The fintech industry basically gets its supplies of the distributed ledger software from the firm Digital Asset. On the other hand, the firm BlockApps offer’s a platform for blockchain for the launch of the decentralized apps.

In a statement that was released by Google, it stated that building of an enhanced cloud service with the partnered firms at the Next 18 which is just before the Cloud Next 18 conference of Google. This is exactly what Google has specified that later this year all the customers would be allowed to give a trial to the open source integrations for the protocols namely Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric in the service of Google’s Cloud Platform marketplace.

Blythe Masters, CEO of Digital Asset noted that the particular solution that is in the process of launch would result in the reduction of the technical hurdle in the development of the distributed ledger technology application. The recent partnership with the two firms based on blockchain by Google will mark the beginning of new era in the tech industry as the company would be joining the other technology companies that already offer their customers with the blockchain services. Google would also be putting its name with the companies like Oracle Amazon Web Services, IBM, and Microsoft which had already introduced their blockchain platforms for the decentralized apps a few months back.

In the month of March 2018, Google also announced that the company is on the verge of initiating blocking of all the advertisements related to cryptocurrency from June 2018. This announcement came as a result of a very similar move taken by the social media giant which is none other than Facebook that recently reversed its decision on the ban of the advertisement related to cryptocurrency.

On the 8th of July 2018, Sergey Brin the co-founder of Google brought to light that he is an Ethereum miner. At the time of speaking at the Blockchain Summit in Morocco Brin stated that the mining of Ethereum is similar to a side business or a part-time business and the cryptocurrencies are simply overwhelming.
